Nicodemus Castle

Hi! My name is Michael Moscrip, and I will be running a FLAILSNAILS compatible game on Monday, 26 December, 2011 at 9pm EST, which is 2am, 27 December in London. My email is migellito at gmail. My blog is The Grumpy Old Troll.
Any low level FLAILSNAILS characters are welcome. The system will be OD&D, including the Greyhawk and Blackmoor supplements, with a few houserules.

Here is a quick info document, with basics for characters: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1R71jzEZgElJvJ0lcYwMOFHnnkl6r2pu5iZgqrnr-Vgo/edit

Here is a short intro for characters coming in from other campaigns: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-gqx3BiffTaoUYYR1hIXURHIbmQ2balJWu193vEgibE/edit

Adventures in Outland

Adventures in Outland

System: OD&D + Chainmail
Genre: All of them

Come have some adventures in Outland! The game will be run online every other Monday from 10:00pm to 12:00am CST (every other Tuesday 4:00am to 6:00am GMT) starting December 26th. Currently suitable for PCs of levels 1-3. So far there is a haunted house, a series of caves with weird monsters, and a strange dungeon in the mountain that looks to have been constructed by otherworldly beings. A Blackmoor-style castle is in the works as well, and will support higher-level play.

More info can be found here:

Email me at jderam/gmail/etc to get added to the player list.
I am listed on Google+ as Jeremy Deram

Hope to see you there!

Things are going well, and who knows, this game might go the whole distance to Griffin Mountain itself and beyond.

Join our intrepid heroes for the third instalment of Griffin Mountain. The Deals Men Make

Info: Hello Constantcon land, I am late to this party but eager to be a part of it. My name is Alex Williamson. I am looking to run a playtest of a Dark Conspiracy modern/horror/occult game on December 3rd 2011,  4pm Eastern time, 1pm Pacific Time, 9pm London Time.

Game / Characters: Dark Conspiracy is a GDW game set in a near-future dystopia rife with urban conspiracy and occult horror. This game will be a playtest of a module I am going to submit to Protodimension magazine, which is an ezine for Dark Conspiracy, CoC and other like minded games. Pre-generated characters will be available or if you'd like to get together earlier I can help with the creation of a character you'd be interested in playing. This adventure will consist of players uncovering a plot surrounding the high frequency of apparent kidnappings and outrash of violence in a small suburb of near-future New Orleans.

Contact: On google+ my name is Alex Williamson and my email is alex@anareta.com. My google+ profile pic is me (male) with a pair of blocky headphones on. Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Nightwick Abbey Comes to ConstantCon

This is Evan of In Places Deep, and I will be running a LotFP game every Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM EST.  This will be a FLAILSNAILS game, but characters brought from other game systems will need to be converted to the LotFP rules.  There is no limit to the level of existing FLAILSNAILS PCs, but new characters must be made at level 1.

Nightwick Abbey has lain in ruins for almost two centuries.  Built by power hungry knights and mad wizards, it is now home to only ghosts and goblins.  Peasants refuse to work in the shadow of the ruined church, and at night eerie lights issue forth   from its depths.  Many have tried to wrestle gold from the crypts that lie beneath, but few have returned.  Are you brave enough to seek your fortune in a demon-haunted dungeon?

Every week I will randomly select four players from a larger list in order to see who will enter the dOn G+ my name is Evan Elkins, and in my profile picture I'm about to slug Nicholas Cage.  You can email me at evanDOTvanDOTelkinsATgmailDOTcom.

Nightwick Abbey Comes to ConstantCon

This is Evan of In Places Deep, and I will be running a Labyrinth Lord game from 7:00PM EST on the the Saturday, October 29th 2011.  Characters should be levels 1-3.  This will be a FLAILSNAILS game, but characters from other game systems should follow the conversion guidelines found here.  Nightwick Abbey is the demon-haunted megadungeon that lies in the brooding forests of the Dark Country.  PCs will have just arrived at the neighboring village via caravans from the far flung corners of the World.  Most of the action will take place on the first level of the dungeon.  On G+ my name is Evan Elkins, and in my profile picture I'm about to slug Nicholas Cage.  You can email me at evanDOTvanDOTelkinsATgmailDOTcom.

Barry would like to remind you of his Stormbringer game.

Time: Saturday 22nd October 21.00 BST (20.00 GMT, 15.00 EST, 14.00 CST etc)

Hagar the Skeletal, the Beggar-Mage, wants the shell from the egg of a Dragon Turtle and is willing to pay any number of reckless, foolhardy and downright crazy adventurers to fetch it for him from the desolate, barbaric and chaos-tainted land of Yu. A one-off adventure only, soon to be appearing in print in Fight On!. (If it comes out in the next week DON'T READ IT.)

Rules: Stormbringer 1st Edition, beginning characters. Pre-gen characters available, but if you want to dice up your own, let me know by e-mail and send me a copy.

Urth After the Rain (self promotion)

A little bit of self promotion.
I'm setting up a ContantCon game at one of my other websites, Urth After the Rain. Pseudo-Elizabethans exploring a world where all the foreigners look like Erol Otus drew them. Over the next few weeks I'll be trying to describe the mood or flavor, and looking for players to submit characters. I'm honoring the FLAILSNAILS conventions, so bring whatever 1st-3rd level character you like. Behind the screen I'll be using a simple version of D&D, so I'd prefer characters from simpler versions of the game, but that's up to you.

Tales from the Hotel Kaladarian Episode 1

Date: Monday Oct. 17
Time: 6pm Eastern / 3pm Pacific / Midnight Berlin

My name is Carter Soles of "The Lands of Ara" blog, and I am running a Swords and Wizardry WhiteBox game at 6pm Eastern / 3pm Pacific / Midnight Berlin time on Monday, 17 October 2011.

No more than four (4) 1st Level PCs are sought for the mission. Roll a new 1st Level PC -- see http://carterscartopia.blogspot.com/2011/09/tales-from-hotel-kaladarian.html for PC options and houserules.  Or, consult the FLAILSNAILS Conventions for PC conversion guidelines.

Please email me at csoles666 at gmail dot com to assure yourself a place at the virtual table -- first come, first served!

The only two houserules being added to S&W WhiteBox Rules (besides  typical Lands of Ara class and race restrictions -- see houserules at http://carterscartopia.blogspot.com/2011/09/tales-from-hotel-kaladarian.html) are Shields Shall Be Splintered! and Critical Hits and Fumbles.

We will meet on Google+ for the session. If you sign up to play and aren't yet a G+ member, say so in your email and I'll send you an invite.  My contact information on G+ is: Carter Soles, csoles666 at gmail dot com, avatar is me wearing glasses and holding up a white d30.

This blog is narrowly focused on ConstantCon

If your comment or email hasn't appeared as a link or blog post, that's because it wasn't about running a ConstantCon game. If you'd like your forum, blog, or whatever to appear here, please make sure it relates to ContantCon. I want to promote your work here, just make sure it fits the theme.

Hellenistic Frankenquest

Jeremy Duncan over at Dandy in the Underworld is planning what he describes as a Hellenistic Franquest--some sort of crazy mashup of Runequest, Stormbringer, Elric!, Call of Cthulhu, along with odds and ends from Pendragon and WFRP. It will be a location based game, like Jeff Rient's Caves of Myrddin game. Jeremy is planning on setting it a generation after the death of Alexander the Great, but with more of a swords and sorcery vibe than a straight historical approach.

Stormbringer: The Tale of an Egg

Time: Saturday 15th October 21.00 BST (20.00 GMT, 15.00 EST, 14.00 CST etc)

Caves of Myrddin

Check out Jeff Rient's Caves of Myrddin ConstantCon game. It's a weekly game using B/X D&D, with a rotating cast of players selected by the dice gods. Set in fantasy England during the Anarchy, the game has so far focused on the exploration of the watery caves beneath the ruins of a castle.

Tekumel

Peter Robbins is shutting down his G+ Tekumel blog, but don't miss out on one of his other blogs, Skein of Destiny. Looks useful for Tekumel fans.

Obliettes & Otyughs

Back in August, Ben over at Obliettes & Otyughs was putting together a 7th edition Gamma World ConstantCon game.

Hill Cantons

ckutalik over the Hill Cantons blog is working on putting together a monthly google+ game. It looks like it will be set up to accommodate various levels of player commitment, and will be using a variety of systems for different groups of players. Check it out.

Zzarchov's Neoclassical Geek Revival

Zzarchov, over at the blog Unofficial Games, runs a weekly ConstantCon game (Mondays at 6pm Eastern, Midnight Berlin Time) of Neoclassical Geek Revival. Check out his rule set, Neoclassical Geek Revival. Available in shiny hardcover.

Announcements are usually kept up to date on his blog.

Legacy of the Bieth

Allandaros over at Legacy of the Bieth is offering ConstantCon gaming, with some mutated version of OSRIC and Lamentations of the Flame Princess. I think he's honoring FLAILSNAILS Conventions. Check it out.

Tales from the Hotel Kaladarian

Head on over to The Lands of Ara, where Carter Soles is plotting and scheming for a new online-only ConstanCon Lands of Ara campaign called, "Tales from the Hotel Kaladarian." He's hoping to get the game rolling this October, using the Swords and Wizardy White Box rules. Some house rules and guidelines are already up over there. Oh, and he's abiding by the FLAILSNAILS Conventions.

Crucible of the Gods

G+ profile: https://plus.google.com/117576739522948548414 // Brian Ballsun-Santon
Crucible of the Gods, a fourthcore adventure for 4-6 players, lasting 3 hours or until party death.

Do you miss the Tomb of Horrors? Do you miss the tension of knowing that there are things that are perfectly willing to kill you with a roll? Do you miss mutherin great battles that require wits to solve? Have all that and more in this fourthcore adventure that is practically guaranteed to kill your set of first level characters. First level characters provided, but I am happy to work with you in creating your own character for this almost impossible adventure. Only the bravest souls need apply.

Fourthcore is a philosophy of gaming applied to the D&D 4e system: the philosophy is fundamentally gamist, preferring to establish drama and tension through the difficulties and challenges presented to the players rather than grand plot or overarching story. It rewards thoughtful gemers who are willing to use their own critical thinking and mental models of the world in place of the blind luck of perception checks (though, to be fair, perception DCs are offered for those who are terminally unwilling to engage in the visualization.)

Offered at Friday October 7 Noon GMT-10 (hawaii) // 6 PM Eastern // 10 AM Saturday Sydney Time. If you have a group of 4 players who wants to schedule another time, let me know.

If you are participating in ConstantCon and have a blog, tell me about it in the comments so I can add it to the sidebar. If you have an awesome blog, but aren't playing or running ConstantCon games, that's super, but not really relevant. Tell me all about it, but do so through email, google+, or over here.

ConstantCon Clearing House

This will be a clearing house for ConstantCon games. If you've got a game you want to promote, let me know at least a few days in advance. I'm already stupidly busy with grad school, so I need at least a little bit of lead time to make sure your game gets promoted. If you'd like to help run the thing, let me know at cosimovecchio at gmail dawt com.

In the meantime, check out Zak S's advice on how to tell people about your game. He's also got a nice FAQ and collection of tips on how to run a google+ game.
